REMINDER TO ABAC MEMBERS AGM WILL BE HELD ON 13th. FEBRUARY 2012
at
ROCKLANDS SOCIAL CLUB from 8.30pm. food will be available.
We hope you can attend as a new local water will be announced.
Please donate a prize for the raffle as it would be appreciated.
Do you fancy being a committee member and contribute to your
club if so submit your nomination to Nigel Hill secretary by
30th. January.
We will also be looking for volunteers to help with bank
clearing and stand building this year the committee cannot be
expected to do everything especially the size of club we are
today and the excellent value it offers and still the leading
club locally.
Astwood Bank Angling Club (ABAC), is a well established fishing
club with over 500 members from Redditch and surrounding areas
in Warwickshire and
Worcestershire. The club has a
wide range of fisheries to cover all aspects of coarse fishing.
There is an active match section with
matches for all members as well as matches for pensioners and
juniors. A number of venues have access and pegs for disabled
anglers.
The club has venues with Carp to 25lb+,
the club also holds a
large stretch of the Warwickshire Avon that is popular with the Barbel
Anglers with regular captures of double figure Barbel. There are
also a number of lakes which are popular with the match and
pleasure angler a stretch of the River Stour near Stratford. We
also now have a stretch on the Arrow at wixford this is a very
pleasant venues with all types of fish,with chub over 5lb.
We also have a forum section to
ask questions about any waters and to see photos of wat has been
caught.
