If you want zander out of a club water then your only real bet is the Avon @ Abbot's Salford. Not sure who's caught what along there, but zander are pretty prolific all along the Avon between Tewkesbury and Stratford. Pikewise you are looking at any of the river stretches (Avon, Arrow & Stour) o...

Alternative forms of payment for subs were mentioned at the AGM this year. Once the initial renewals have all been dealt with, I dare say this will then be investigated for next year. The committee are also considering the future direction for the website, so this could possibly be something for dis...

Irons Cross Pool - Take note!

Just for the record Irons Cross Pool is no longer a club water and as such should not be used by any ABAC members. All members should be aware of this via new membership packs (2011) and "Banknotes." The Committee is aware the fishery is still listed on the website and this will be rectifi...

That's correct free casual fishing was done away with. Anyone fishing with you will now need a guest day ticket, bought in advance. Pretty sure the free fishing for children under 12 stayed the same though, but must be with a responsible adult club member at all times. Can someone else just c...

Sorry, but I disagree. You have to have a line somewhere, so if you haven't paid you shouldn't fish. Try that with the cops and your car insurance and see what happens.

You can't have your cake and eat it!

I've had this all over Christmas, for over a week. Was it just me or did the server take Christmas off?

Shimano reels every time. I have had mine for over 15 years! Still work perfectly, never let me down, but I do look after them.

Keep them clean and dry, wipe them over with some WD40 every now and then.

Only the brave

Anyone actually going out in the cold at the moment. How productive are the club venues at this time of the year, especially with the high carp numbers? :?

Works much better for the forum as it keeps the servers workload down - more file space and available bandwidth.

Pajero owner hey..... I was only thinking of those yesterday, as someone told me that their snorkels are a reasonable fit for a Frontera. Although I generally try to avoid driving it into any of our club waters!!!   Had a Frontera Sport before moving onto the Pajeros. Fell out wit...

True I think trouble is brewing. One of our latest members - oriweenue, lives in Cambodia.

Must be a bit keen to come to Worcestershire for his fishing.

Had a good day here on Monday with my father. Many thanks to Roger for sorting out a day ticket at short notice. Dad enjoyed himself, nice and easy access with good clear banks and a few nice fish. Managed a few myself (best were a pair of 9lbs) in between sorting dad's fish!

Another visit yesterday (30/07) - totally blanked. Don't know what it was, but just wasn't feeling it yesterday. Quite windy and cloudy, neither warm or cold, kind of felt I was wasting my time from the off. Walked the furthest field - river is totally inaccessable due to vegetation. Couldn't make o...
