Pike match on Avon

Had a go on the river today (2 roach  ) so still waiting for my first club barbel. While I was there I chatted 5 or 6 chaps roaming the opposite bank after the pike and they told me that next weekend (Saturday and Sunday) the British Pike squad have got a match on the BAA bank. They are expect...

Pleased to report BG is as reliable as ever for a bit of action. A couple of us had about 35-40 carp in 3 hours on Monday afternoon. Biggest would be no more than 3 and a half lb but all good fun after the cold snap we have just had. All caught on maggot feeder around the island and EVERY single one...

Yes Stu, he had them on 3 hair-rigged sweetcorn, on the bottom, with swimstim (I think) in his cage feeder.
This was only a couple of weeks ago, just before we had this frost so he is now convinced he has got this venue sussed!

Not had much luck myself but my mate recently had 3 fish in one session between 8.5 and 11 lb and had a 12lber the following week. Don't be shy Guardcarp, get some photos up!

Hi all if anyone is interested I am selling some of my lads carp gear as he now spends all his time BMXing! There is a Fox Warrior 2.75lb tc rod in good nick and a Wychwood Exorcist Big Pit Freespin 65 reel. The reel is virtually as new and has been used 4 times at most and will come in it's origina...

I imagine these clowns join every forum they can find so they can get hold of all the members email addresses and our forum has been posted on some website which they they all use to share info. A quick scan of their email addresses and interests makes me think we can all expect to be bombarded with...

I agree that Swan is a lovely place to spend a few hours Ian but can't agree that it would be better as a silvers pool. We already have Wood Bev, Thornleigh, Cann Lane, the rivers and the canal for silvers fishing and it is nice to have somewhere other than Bradley Green for some guaranteed carp act...

Hi Steve this question has been asked before but as the site is under new management I thought I would bring it up again. Although some of us are happy using Photobucket or similar to upload and share photos it might encourage more use of the site if we could simply post it as an attachment or maybe...

I have voted for football but it depends what match is on and who is playing. And what the weather is like
I have had Virgin HD put on too Jon. Best thing since sliced bread!

England and the World Cup

Thought we were pretty average against USA tonight. Could have won it but we are not going to worry the big teams playing like that. Still think we will probably win our group but we are 3 or 4 players short of beating the likes of Spain and Brazil  Still got more chance than the Jocks though. ...

Spawning but had my best session!

Hi all, had a 4 hour session on Alvechurch 1 on Saturday morning and had my most productive session yet. The carp were thrashing round in the reeds all round the pool so I was well pleased to finish with 5 carp all around the 5lb mark. I have always struggled at Alvechurch so it was good to finally ...

It is basically up to you Dwirnach  Do you feel lucky?
From personal experience it needs to be pretty wet to be inaccessible so I would drive down through the gate as far as the field and see how it looks. If it looks dodgy you can always turn round and go back to the farmyard.
Cheers
Pete
