Consistent!

Postby Iangriffiths » Mon Jun 29, 2015 12:13 am

Having fished BG twice now, I'm slightly paranoid my analog scales are messing with me. All the carp I've pulled out exactly 5lb! I have upgraded to a digital set and will see if that makes a difference. Has anyone else found this happening to them? Beautiful fish though and i can not complain. Best venue i have been to.

Hi Ian,
I have had no problem with my Nash Specimen Scales had all sorts of size fish from 3lb-8lb.14oz max so far from Brads :D All I can think is Either you just keep catching 5lb fish or your Scales are Duff mate lol    Try using them on a different lake see if they work else where mate.
Like a Pike I hunt down those Specimen Fish.

Hi Andy,

My wife caught a gudgeon out of there last time we fished the Brads :D

I Wonder if Ian can lend me his Scales next time we go then if we catch anymore Gudgeon we can weigh them on it for a 5lber British Record!!!

Was it a proper eel or a bootlace?

Glad your enjoying the venue,to be fair, its not fished anywhere near as good as previous years but you can nearly always get some action here.
