Another cracking session on Pool 1

I had another cracking session on pool 1 Saturday 19th from 12:30 to 16:30.

I fished the waggler again about 4-6 inches overdepth, starting on 3 maggots on a size 14 hook to 3lb hook length and 4lb main line.

This brought immediate action with Perch and Skimmer, whilst also feeding maggot and Poundland expanders flavoured with Scopex.

After about half hour I hooked on a band to the size 14 and fished the pellets with a single maggot on the hook. This brought three 5-6lb Commons, two of which had the same disfigured mouths I saw on a fish previously.

My next fish was a good low double Mirror which proceeded to go on a rampage through the whole swim that caused the fishing to dry up for the last hour or so, only then having the odd Perch here and there until one swallowed my hook and I had to cut the line. At this point I called it a day and happily went home.

I think I can safely say that this venue picks up in the summer months after disappointing early year sessions when the pool was a lot colder.

It sure as hell compensated for my failure on the 16th
