I fancied a day of catching silverfish so headed to WB and was not disappointed; what a lovely venue.

The day started at about 7:00 fishing an insert peacock waggler about 3 inches over depth where I was straight into four Crucian's, and what lovely looking fish they were too.

I proceeded to catch Perch, Rudd, Roach, and Skimmers until about 12:00 when it got very warm and I switched to the pole and fished up in the water at about 2ft catching Rudd for an hour or two then switching back to the waggler.

All fish were caught on Maggot and 6mm Pellet but I also fed hemp seed.

Just before packing away at 18:00 I had my largest catch of the day, a 3.5-4lb Bream and went home happy with what this venue has to offer.

I had hoped for some of WB's Tench but maybe another day.

***BEWARE***
I fished peg 26 along the tree lined bank, where there seems to be a large colony of Red Ants and I was stung numerous times during the session.

I thought you should know in case anyone was planning taking children.
